The Rats in the Walls... Well, to look on the bright side, the heating now works, I've got a computer desk so that the laptop is not literally so (those bean bag trays are very useful), I'd now been doing this on my lap for a year, and all I need now is a proper chair. Moreover, the Heath-Robinson software setup seems to be working too, but... err.... well... First the gas heater at my old flat (with tenants in it) broke down – just as my bank balance had come out of intensive care, then I heard scratching, gnawing, and rather heavy running noises above me in my rented house as I slept. Poison is now down, but I'm sleeping on the floor of the living room so as to get some kip. And my end of March walking holiday is looking less and less likely. Well, at least I'm still allowed to go to London and Reading... wonder if they'll allow me back tonight? :-) Keep smiling...
